Roger understands that proposed requirements to put 20% downpayments for all conventional loans to fit new mortgage standards would hurt an already fragile housing market. Roger knows that this ill-conceived regulation would leave homeownership out of reach for nearly all first-time homebuyers. Roger also believes that owning a home is a vital part of the American Dream. He will fight to ensure that the tax code encourages homeownership and will be a champion for the continuation of the mortgage interest deduction.” said Stewart.
